Comfrey - Russian
$30.00
Taxes included. Shipping calculated at checkout.

$30 for 5x bare-root plants.

The ultimate companion plant for fruit trees.

Comfrey roots very deeply and mines up minerals to its large leaves which can be slashed down as a mulch.

Makes an excellent liquid fertiliser or addition to compost. Also a famous medicinal herb. Comfrey is a deciduous herbaceous perennial, forming a slowly expanding clump. It is difficult to remove the stablished plant, but does not spread by seed.

Large leaves and pretty flowers enjoyed by bees.

The clump can grow up to 1x1m.

Plant in the orchard, no closer than 1m from tree trunks. Don't plant anywhere close where you will be digging (e.g. near a vegetable garden), or you will spread it by breaking up the roots.
