Permaculture

You are immersed in your healthy, diverse garden. It sustains you with beauty, foods and medicines. It provides ecosystem services to the environment through spongy soils, food for insects and birds. It evolves over the years and you are on the creative journey with it, working with nature. In rhythm with the seasons. You introduce a lot of plant diversity, observe and tweak things along the way. The garden is woven together so that the different garden areas support each other. You create satisfying, integrated systems, so that all of your actions have multiple benefits to the health and productivity of the garden.

This is ecological permaculture design.

We support your permaculture journey by guiding you through design, install and management with ongoing support. This is done by engaging any of our landscape services, the only difference being that we will focus on guidance and mentoring you on your permaculture journey.

Our diverse permaculture home garden with herbs, vegetables, fruits and flowers, planted in a joyful arrangement of texture and colour. Permaculture systems provide us with a huge amount of enjoyment and harvest from our small garden.

Permaculture has 12 principles that steer us towards using sound, practical patterns and systems in the landscape. The video half way down this page on Milkwood's website provides an excellent introduction:
