Blackcurrants are one of the easiest berries to grow. They are very productive and easily picked and if not eaten straight away they can be frozen in containers, to be used throughout the year. Great to eat raw frozen, by themselves or in smoothies, or cooked in pies or crumbles. They blend really well with apples and other fruit. Very high in antioxidants.
Substantial plants, around 0.5-0.7m high with multiple strong stems and great root system, will usually have a small crop in their first year.

TREES & PLANTS are packed bare-root either the first week of July, August or September. Orders are taken for these year round. See our nursery info page for details.
Trees and plants can be delivered to your door (rates will be calculated at checkout based on the number of plants you purchase) or you can pick up for no fee - in which case we will email when ready to pick up and you will have 7 days to do so.
