Akane is a early ripening sharp red skinned apple with snow white flesh.
NOTE: Plants are only available for pick-up or delivery in July or August each year since this is the best planting time. They are grown in the ground, dug up and packed in damp hay, rather than potted (this is called bare-rooted).

We pack and send out BOOKS & WALL CHARTS Tuesday and Fridays.
TREES & PLANTS are sent bare rooted either the first week of July, August or September. Orders are taken for these year round. See our nursery page for details.
